Robellini Palms are dwarf, slow-growing palms; their growth habit makes them practical for many planting locations while adding a tropical flair to a landscape. Robellini palms thrive in moist but well-draining soil and should be watered multiple times per week. Recently planted Robellini palms should be hand-watered each day for up to 2 weeks to allow the root system to develop. Mature Robellini palms should be fertilized with a balanced palm fertilizer 2 – 3 times per year. Occasionally the dead and old fronds must be trimmed to improve the plant’s appearance (be careful of spikes when pruning).
