Golden dewdrop is a fast-growing, slightly thorny evergreen perennial known for its vibrant purple flowers and clumps of vivid yellow berries. It grows best in full sun but will tolerate partial shade. Golden Dew Drop can grow large and wild when left unchecked, so occasional trimming is required to keep it in shape and allow up to 4ft of space between other plants. Water as needed (usually allowing the soil to dry between waterings) and fertilize in spring, summer, and fall. To supplement and enhance blooming cycles, apply a granular bloom-special fertilizer like a 2-10-10. Golden Dew Drop works excellently as a butterfly-attracting focal plant or as an accent plant in a mixed garden bed.
